Registration for the Fall 2024 CTI program
Overview
Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School received $471,702 as part of a grant through the Workforce Skills Cabinet to provide training and placement to prepare unemployed or underemployed individuals for positions in Manufacturing, Culinary Arts, and Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC). Grant employer partners include All Points HVAC, ckSmithSuperior, General Mechanical Contractors, Inc., Dexter, FLEXcon, A&M Tool & Design, Primetals Technologies, Kinefac Corporation, Pine Ridge Country Club, Niche Hospitality Group, The Overlook, UMass Memorial Health, Package Steel Systems, RPM Heating and Air Conditioning, Menkiti Group, DCU Center, BAPS, Long Subaru, Woody’s Auto Body, Fuller’s Collision Center.
Grant funds will cover the full cost for students including classroom time, textbooks, and certifications. The grant also allows Bay Path to offer support services such as career readiness lessons and post-employment follow-ups.
Adults interested in pursuing a career in Manufacturing, Culinary Arts, Heating Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Auto Collision, Building Maintenance, and Sheet Metal must be willing to enroll and commit to 200 hours of training at Bay Path and be willing to obtain training to qualify them for industry-recognized credentials essential to work in the field of their choice. Worcester County participants must be 18 years old or older, unemployed, or underemployed (annual income is less than $51,600 gross or $24.80/hour). Most recent high school graduates qualify as under-employed.
Perspective students must go through an application and acceptance process. To apply, contact Mass Hire Career Centers in Southbridge or Worcester. (The application and interview process must be completed before the start of class in September. Seats are limited to 12 per program. Bay Path will recruit, assess, and screen participants aligned with the program requirements, in partnership with Mass Hire Career Centers in Southbridge and Worcester.
